What if I don't know what instrument my child should play?
I always recommend young children start on piano. It is the easiest to play. They learn a lot of theory which translates to every other instrument, so it's a great one to build on. They are welcome to try the ukulele, however, most go back to piano when they learn the difficulty of the chording process with uke. With older students, hand strength is usually developed enough to try uke or guitar.
Can my child start on guitar?
For young children, I recommend trying uke before guitar. A significant amount of hand strength (normally in the left hand) is needed to play guitar. I normally help them develop that strength through piano first and then uke, depending on the student.
I'm not sure if I have time for lessons!
Kids will get the most out of weekly lessons, however I understand that older students have to balance more "life" things. My new booking system enables you to book just ONE lesson, or several. You can try one, if it's not for you, that's fine! If you
want to book a few lessons just to get a confidence boost, that's ok too. I'm able to work around lots of different needs/schedules. If you're just too busy, you can check out my super affordable eBook for voice complete with piano tracks for vocal warmups.

Can I sign up for a group class on my own?
Yes, you can sign up as an individual. If you sign up with a group of friends, that's even better. The class will go ahead as long as 6 people or more sign up. I will do my best to advertise the classes to fill them up. I will let you know the day before if it's going ahead or not.
